THE FILM WILL EXPLORE SEVERAL KEY ISSUES THAT BLIND OR DISTRACT PEOPLE FROM BEING IN TOUCH WITH THEIR CORE VALUES OF LOVE AND KINDNESS. MORE TO COME...
HAPPINESS
A Harvard study led by Dr. Waldinger reveals key ways to be a happier person. Roughly half show that being kind and having healthy relationships are significant contributors to being joyful. Our film attempts to mend relationships in order to get to a happier place.
FEAR VS POSSIBILITY
Instilling fear in people is one of the biggest motivators in the quest for power and influence. It involves blame, negativity and dishonesty. As people age, and experience death of loved ones, discrimination, and severe illnesses, it's in our nature for self-preservation to live out of fear, not possibility.
IMPACT
The Harvard study found a strong link between happiness and close relationships with family and friends. "Personal connection creates emotional stimulation, which is an automatic mood booster, while isolation is a mood buster," says Dr. Waldinger. Our film addresses the impact of discrimination and weakened familial relationships.
INCLUSION
The film explores the importance to inclusion. When human beings feel wanted and needed, their self-worth is enhanced, which enables them to be better husbands, wives, fathers, mothers and siblings.
GOVERNMENT
Our film seeks to identify how the government discriminates and the impact on individuals and country.
RELIGION
Some religious institutions help the needy, fight injustice and promote self-worth. This documentary explores how other churches use various minorities as scapegoats in order to create fear.
SAMENESS
With few exceptions, human beings share the desire to love, to be loved, to be needed and to be valued. Whether or not someone is transgender, black, white or gay, we all have these traits in common. It's part of being human.
LEARN
People learn and adopt new ways of thinking and being when they hear someone else share authentically, and hear something they relate to that’s been hidden from their view. This has to be done in an emotional context. Curiosity is created when the listener relates emotionally to the speaker. Then it's possible for the listener to self reflect: “Am I thinking and behaving like this person?”
